Welcome to the homepage of the Leadership Summer School! The Leadership Summer School (LSS) is a one week high quality training event organised as a joint project of international youth organisations. The LSS aims to gather about 80 motivated youth participants from different kinds of student associations, youth workers and from all over Europe. The objective of the training week is the exchange of knowledge and best practices between participants and the organisations involved. Furthermore, after completing the Leadership Summer School, participants will have attained and practised various leadership skills.

2012-01-16 Call for LSS 2012 Organisation Committee
Dear friends, colleagues & students everywhere!
Would you like to take part in a widely respected and ever-growing Leadership training event? Are you keen to develop your personal & professional skills whilst building the capacity of student leaders from over 20 European and international organisations?
Are you enthusiastic, flexible, friendly and a good motivator? Then Leadership Summer School (LSS) is the event for you! For the past 4 years LSS had led the way in multi-disciplinary student leadership events!
In July each year, we gather 50-100 students and around 10-20 trainers from all walks of life, from all over the globe, in one venue, with one aim... to develop and inspire the leaders of tomorrow, today! LSS is made possible by the collaboration of around 20 different student organisations, with central coordination and support from Zero Generation Training. Every year we look for ways to improve and expand this exciting event and this year should prove to be our greatest year yet!
Previous LSS events have taken place in Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia and Romania! This year we are looking for another exciting cultural venue - could it be your home country?
For the fifth edition, we are looking for a motivated and proficient Organising Committee in an exciting country, that will be able to make this event as successful as the previous ones. Interested? Apply to host LSS 2012... and don't just keep it for yourself! Partner up with other NGOs! Collaboration is one of the core elements of LSS, we are looking for different NGOs cooperating to make LSS2012 happens on a local level.
Here's what we are expecting from you, the Organising Committee, to be able to provide: • food and accommodation for about 100 people (70 participants / 15 trainers / organisers) for minimum 8 nights (+ 4 extra nights for trainers) • all the necessary training materials (post-its, markers, flipcharts,...) • 4 training rooms, 1 working room and event logistics • creative social/evening program • Period 1-25 July 2012 (Preferably the first 2 weeks) • support in raising funds while developing local cooperation with companies • open-minded and a sense for adventure

Facing difficulties to organize the Leadership Summer School in the Netherlands, as initially planned, we decided to change the venue of the event (Note: all stakeholders have been informed). 2011-04-20 LSS 2011 participants selected
Last weekend, we finally managed to get through the huge load of really great applications and finalize the participants selection. Focusing on the central selection criteria contribution to the event, motivation, and especially value for their organisations (e.g. by applying or disseminating the lessons learned), we hope to have made the best selection possible. Thanks a lot to all applicants for their interest and great applications, and congratulations to all selected participants. We also want to thank our trainers and ZG advisors for their support with the selection, and the IFISO contact persons for their valuable input on the applications from their organizations, which was an important factor in the selection. All applicants have been contacted and informed about our decision. And the list of participants is planned to be provided in the LSS 2011 section soon.

It has become April and we are still working on the homepage. But we are proceeding and getting closer to our final goal: more relevant information, clearly presented and easy to find and access. Thanks a lot for your patience.
