History of the Leadership Summer School

The past LSS editions in few words...

The first Leadership Summer School took place in Ankara in July 2008. That year over 15 organizations of IFISO were present, all together around 80 students from various student organizations including the trainers who held the different high level leadership trainings. To sum up: It was a great success and a great event which got a special place in the memory of the participants.

Because of the huge success of the LSS 2008, a second Leadership Summer School took place in Split, Croatia from 17th to 25th of July 2009. Again 80 students from all around Europe gathered to recieve high quality leadership trainings and to share best practices among the differnt organizations. In 2009 the LSS consisted of participants, trainers and organizers from more than 25 different european and non-european countries.

In 2010, the Leadership Summer School once more invited students from all over Europe and further away to join a full week of high-quality leadership training, this time in Ljubljana, Slovenia. From July 16 to 25, 65 participants originating from a variety of countries spanning from Canada to Iraq gathered to be educated on leadership matters, share, discuss and enjoy.
