Organizational Structure
The Leadership Summer School is cooperatively organized by an international coordination team (CT) and a local organizing committee (OC). Moreover, they are supported by a CT advisory board (consisting of two members of the former LSS CT) and advisors from Zero Generation (ZG - a group consisting of mostly former LSS trainers), and cooperate closely with the training coordinators. My name is Nicoleta, I'm 20 years old and I study Economic Informatics at “Babeş- Bolyai” University, second year of studies. I'm volunteering for two years, now I'm the president of “Babeş- Bolyai” University Students Association (OSUBB), and I'm loving it! Leadership Summer School is a challenge for me because this project takes Ledership Management at a different level. I consider it as an opportunity to improve the society because the future leaders are the main source of change in this world. I can hardly wait to meet all the participants and I`m confident that we'll have a great time together in Cluj-Napoca. | | Go to top Raluca Ganceanu (Fundraising) 22, Romania, BEST My life in a nutshellI am Raluca Ganceanu, a 22 year old girl who studies Construction Management in the third year at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. Since high-school, I have been involved as volunteer in several associations and now I am active in BEST student organization. Last year, I took the challenge to spend 5 months as an Erasmus student in Lisbon, a life-changing experience. After returning home, I was part of the organizing team of TEDxEroilor. Full of energy and always ready to say “Cap! Bien sûr!“, I gladly joined LSS 2011 organizing comittee as a corporate relations responsible. |
| Go to top Andrei Balint (Marketing) 23, Romania, AEGEE My life in a nutshellHi there, future leaders! I'm Andrei Balint, from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I'm a 23-year-old, second year Masters student in Advertising. I am part of the Cluj-Napoca AEGEE board and have been involved in several projects of the organization, ever since joining it as a member. I’m crazy about photography, jazz and football. I particularly get a kick out of interacting with new people, traveling and having a good time with friends. This year, I am honoured to be part of the organizing committee of LSS and I am sure that, together with the other members, we shall give you an LSS that you’ll never forget! |
| Go to top Stefan Radu (Logistics) Romania, AIESEC My life in a nutshellHey guys !!! I`m Stefan Radu, aka Steve. A member of AIESEC Cluj-Napoca for almost 1 year on External Relations. At Leadership Summer School I`ll be responsible for the logistics part. I joined BEST organization two years ago and currently I am in the leading board of BEST Cluj-Napoca. Since my beginning in BEST, I couldn't stop getting involved in organizing all sorts of events (from cultural exchanges to European final of engineering competitions). I like to keep busy all the time, I am a big fan of challenges and of travelling (as many are). Last summer I took part in a similar event and from my experience I can say that I really believe LSS is going to be a great event for everybody. | | Go to top Andra Valasutean (Social Program) 21, Romania, ASPR My life in a nutshellHello, awesome people! I’m Andrush from Romania, I’m 21 years old and I study Psychology (second year of studies). I joined ASPR in 2010 and I couldn’t be happier! Being in ASPR totally changed my life and the way I see things. I made a lot of good friends, I met very interesting and hard-working people, people who would stay awake all night long to do their work. Don’t think we’re all about the work! We have a lot of fun too. Regarding LSS, when I found out I had the chance to be a part of the OC, I took it! I didn’t need to think twice. I’ve never participated in a LSS before, so I am really excited and motivated. I can’t wait for LSS 2011 to begin! Well, what can I tell you about me? I’m always smiling, I love my friends, I like music, acting, dancing, psychology (obviously) and I also like being a volunteer. Go LSS 2011! |    International Coordination Team  | Go to top Matej Logar (CT Coordinator) 24, Slovenia, EESTEC My life in a nutshellI study electrical engineering - power engineering - and I'm about to finish my studies my thesis. Moreover, I work in a big company (kolektor), on machine vision applications, and I am a member of EESTEC. My hobbies are sports (running, swimming, scuba-diving, skiing, snowboarding etc.), building machines (you name it I make it), traveling and others. My first contact with LSS was two years ago, when I was a participant in Split, Croatia. Last year, I was a vice-chairman of the Organising Committee in Ljubljana, and this year I have the honor to be the head of Coordination Team. I don't like to be called president, boss or whatever though - I am just one of the team members. We are a team and my job is to organise it. That's it. | | Go to top Florence I.J. Franks (Secretary) 24, Italy, AEGEE My life in a nutshellI'm Flo from Italy. I study law at the University of Florence and currently I'm doing an EVS year close to Metz, France. I have been an AEGEE-addicted since March 2008 and have participated at several European events. Currently, I am active at the European level of AEGEE. My last event was Training for Trainers(T4T) and it was this training that inspired me so much, and contributed to show me the direction I want to give to my future involvement in AEGEE and let's say life in general: yes, I love education, trainings, and projects!!!! During T4T I also met people from other students associations(namely BEST and EESTEC), and I discovered how much we can learn from each other. And yes, I believe sharing is caring! I'm new regarding LSS, because I did not participate at the previous editions, but I'm more than motivated in making LSS 2011 the best LSS ever!!!! Moreover, I love cinema, music and theatre (I also acted), of course I love travelling!!! and I love going to museums and exhibitions - I love art in general ....poems by Nazim Ikmet, fashion and learning new languages (now I'm studying French and Spanish)... As I said my interests are also education, trainings, projects, volunteering activities, European issues, youth work and cultural exchange... Sometimes I work in a pub (I make very good cocktails) and as hostess... Anyway, because of study, work and involvement in projects in and outside of AEGEE, I do not have much free time to follow all my hobbies. |
| Go to top Attila Victor Achenbach (PR & Communications) 28, Germany, AEGEE & others My life in a nutshellMy name is Attila Victor Achenbach and my home base is more or less located in south-west Germany. I though rather feel at home on the road, travelling. I am a student at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, studying Mechatronics, and am currently working on my Diploma thesis at the Fraunhofer IPA in Stuttgart. Concerning student NGOs, I started off with AEGEE in 2006, but now rather move between different groups and like it a lot, having done an internship in Mexico through IAESTE, being in love with the Imagine conference by AIESEC and the ThinkTank30, and having been a member of other student NGOs and the main force of the local student NGO cooperation in Karlsruhe for the last few years. Last year, I finally started training and in summer, I was a participant at the LSS in Ljubljana. | | Go to top Giulio Petti (Grants & Fundraising) 25, Italy, BEST My life in a nutshellI'm Giulio, from sunny Naples. I've been a BEST active member for more than a year now, and I am studying Material Engeneering @Naples. Actually, I've almost finished my MSc and I have just returned from running my last project in Sweden, in Gothenburg precisely (not very sunny this one ;-p). It was a very interesting project aiming to bring fundamental material knowledge into the machining processes, to really understand what happens to the machined material and how the material itself can affect machinability. It is run by Volvo Aero and Chalmers University. Well...I don't want to bother you with this! ;-p I have plenty of interests... from travelling around to meeting new cultures, new people and new ways of living, to photography, from fitness to chinese martial arts, from reading to movies and TV series... well, they are simply too many to play with them as I would like to! Last LSS was very enlightening for me, and that is the reason for which I decided to apply for the CT this year. I really think it's an awesome event and I hope this year LSS will inspire participants as LSS 2010 inspired me! | | Go to top Uroš Zupan (Media) 22, Slovenia, EESTEC My life in a nutshell- Uroš would not write about his life in a nutshell. He would at least create a video. And currently he is just too busy for that... - |
